White Fillings

When treating a cavity, the decayed portion of the tooth is removed and filled with another substance.  Here at our office, we use white fillings, also known as composite resins.  A composite filling is also known as a tooth-colored filling, since the material used in the filling can be closely matched to the color of the teeth.  Composite fillings provide good durability and typically involves removing less tooth structure than would be removed for an amalgam (silver) filling.
