Through continuing education, Dr. Lee ensures he promotes and maintains the highest standards of dental care for his patients.

Promoting Oral Health

Dr. Lee frequently visits local nurseries, daycare centers, and elementary schools to teach children the importance of taking good care of their teeth. He also volunteers at the annual Give Kids a Smile Day on Long Island, to provide free dental care to underserved populations in the community.

Beyond the Practice

Dr. Lee was raised in Virginia but has been proud to call New York home since finishing his pediatric dental training here. He resides with his family in Syosset on Long Island. When he’s not caring for patients, he is most often found with his wife, Flora, and their two young children, Brooke and David.

"Working in pediatric dentistry gives me a feeling of great satisfaction and fulfillment. I feel so happy to affect so many children’s lives and attitudes in a positive way — giving them motivation and knowledge to develop and maintain a healthy smile!

I love seeing and working with all children. Each has a unique personality, and each is a puzzle to solve. I look forward to learning what motivates each child and how to connect with him or her in a manner that reassures and builds trust.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my profession is knowing how to approach an initially apprehensive young child. I observe, listen, and remain patient as I figure out how to help them feel at ease in a new environment.

The reward comes when the child relaxes, starts to happily and freely engage with my staff and me, and then smiles. That smile, and the trust it conveys, is all the motivation I need!"
